History of the Business
‍Our founder Grant Day started at Bromley Technical College in 1980, almost immediately his main goal was to start GJ Day Electrical. Grant achieved this as a sole trader in 1985. From then his passion and drive was to improve the business year on year. Part of that process was to become a Limited company in 1993 and employ further engineers to enable us to provide a service to our growing client base.

Grant wanted to provide excellent levels of professionalism with each and every project and employ reliable trustworthy staff that also bought into the 'G JDay Process'. The GJ Day Electrical team is a collection of like minded electrical engineers that care about the design and Installation projects that they undertake. We are proud of what we do.

Our owner Grant Day plays an active role in the business and oversees all parts of the 'GJ Day Process' this ensures that our projects meet the high standards set from conception to completion.

"Ours was a difficult job modernising a large, grade II* Georgian house. This required the cabling and lighting design and the installation throughout a major new extension, basement conversion, two existing floors and the loft. Grant and his team installed multiple distribution boards and power cabling, new sockets, room lighting, hotel standard fire alarm equipment, heating plant connections, garden lighting and audio visual and internet cabling. All this was done whilst we were living in the house with the minimum of fuss and the maximum level of professionalism.
